Development of GIS-Based Rumah Gadang Tools as a Tourism Data Integrator for Halal Tourist Villages in West Sumatra, Indonesia

Tourism is one of the economic pillars countries, including Indonesia. However, Covid-19 pandemic has significantly affected global tourism industry. Nevertheless, government taken measures during this to prepare tourist villages drive Indonesian tourism. West Sumatra, a province in Indonesia designated as halal destination, actively developing such Koto Baru. In village, there are many Minangkabau traditional cultural houses called Rumah Gadang (RG). these yet attract tourists due lack information dissemination about uniqueness RG. Therefore, GIS-Based RG Tools (GRT) been developed web and mobile GIS (Android platform). This research reports on development GRT, which intended answer challenges using ICT, namely use ICT still limited data collection promotional media only, no integrated village management system with attractions. The GRT was methodology. Additionally, its included waterfall method whereby PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Bootstrap, PHP, B4A, JavaScript software were used design code GRT. After being programmed, tested for functionality, it concluded that app appropriate meets needs their pre-trips or visitations sites. Further should focus modules following villages.
